O! provides connectivity at the strategic Kok-Art checkpoint on the North–South highway

O! Mobile Operator has completed work to provide reliable mobile connectivity and high-speed internet access at the Kok-Art checkpoint, one of the key and hard-to-reach sections of Kyrgyzstan’s strategic alternative North–South highway.

Expanding communications infrastructure along this stretch is important for road safety, rapid coordination among emergency services, and the convenience of drivers and passengers travelling between the country’s northern and southern regions.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic highly praised the work completed and the successful interagency cooperation:

“Through our joint efforts, we have achieved our goal of providing reliable internet connectivity along one of the strategically important sections of the highway, creating safer and more comfortable conditions for our people. I would like to thank everyone who was directly involved and contributed to this initiative!”

Installing and commissioning the equipment in high-altitude conditions required complex technical and engineering solutions. Following the work completion, the checkpoint staff, road maintenance teams, and passing motorists now have access to reliable voice communications and mobile data services from O!.

O! Mobile Operator continues to systematically expand its network coverage as part of its efforts to develop socially important infrastructure and transport links across Kyrgyzstan.

Stay connected wherever you are in Kyrgyzstan. O! is the leading network, covering more than 99.8% of the country’s populated territory. Join the network through the My O! app or at O!Store locations.
