Beware of scammers ⛔️
O! mobile operator urges subscribers to remain vigilant. Fraudsters continue to impersonate telecom company employees and exploit people’s trust.
❗ Remember: a SIM is PERMANENT
The main pretext used by scammers is the false “need to extend the SIM card validity period” or the threat of “number disconnection”.
O! declares officially: your SIM card has no expiration date. It does not need to be extended or “re-registered” at the request of callers.
How scammers operate:
· They call from unknown numbers or via WhatsApp, using operator logos and signatures to appear legitimate;
· They address you by name to gain trust;
· They intimidate you with blocking threats and pressure you: “provide the code right now or your number will be disconnected.” This is 100% fraud.
Their goal is to obtain the SMS verification code and gain access to your bank accounts, personal profiles, and personal data.
Remember:
· O! employees never call to ask about SIM card validity;
· They never offer to “extend your number”;
· They never request passwords or SMS codes.
In case of any such call, end the conversation immediately. Inform your family and elderly relatives, as they are often the primary targets of scammers.
