Linking the SIM card to your passport is needed to ensure security of personal information, particularly, where number holder uses that for registering with and logging in services such as online banking, digital service portal, business e-mail, messengers and social media accounts. By registering your SIM card, you will protect your personal information from scammers and easily resume the number if the SIM card or phone is lost.

Please, be reminded that, starting April 1, 2024, customers of all mobile telecom providers in Kyrgyzstan are required to register their newly activated SIM cards using passports as per the new rules introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers.
